A Very Special 10 week Movement Workshop for women ages 60 and up
offered by Terry Sendgraff & Jill Togawa
"…helped all of us to blossom"
In the words of participants:
"brilliant at creating a space conducive to bringing out deep, meaningful expression."
"This was one of the most creative, enjoyable and meaningful classes I’ve done in my entire life."
"the ability to encourage women to search deep inside in body, mind and heart through movement and words(writing)."
"Picture this....a group of women over 60 gather to participate in a movement/writing class. Most of us do not know other women in the class. We sit each class in meditation, move to explore our bodies, explore our connection to one another and share our stories. We have become a community."
"...No one realized that what we would be experiencing in “movement memoirs” ...would be a million times more powerful than we could imagine. By participating we came to feel we were not terminally unique, that our challenges and the wisdom earned through age had value to others, that our bodies and minds could communicate and be understood, that we were managing aging productively and finding pleasure and excitement in sharing common ground and it was all better because we were a bunch of old women discovering new journeys together and laughing. Thank you Jill and Terry for awakening our spirits." Gail Steinberg, participant
